I was thinking the same thing. It shows the vin in the title for the one car. I wonder why the other isnt listed. I wish I had carfax, i would ran the vin just out of curiousity

Even if the nicer one is 4500 and the other one is 2000. That kinda seams like a really good deal to me.

It all depends on what you are looking for. Are you looking for a nice driver, a parts car, or something to restore?

They both look pretty tired and would take quite a bit of cosmetic work to make them perfect again. Looking at the pictures I'd guess that both cars are in the 100k mile neighborhood.

The mechanicals should be pretty straight forward LT1 4th gen. And assuming that mileage you'd have to do the typical stuff. Opti, water pump, intake manifold gasket, and on and on.

For the price I think you would be better off buying one decent one rather than two projects.

Price doesnt seem too fishy for two 17 year old cars. Both do look like they have seen better days and need some work

you never know what could be wrong but then again it could be a great deal. **** my first car way back was a 69 chevelle sport coupe, while it wasnt anything special per say very clean and at the time only 10 years old i paid $400.00 for it. if any thing contact the seller with questions, he gave his number out.

I noticed in his description, he says 98,000 but on the vehicle history report. it had 98,100 miles in 2002. So it has been sitting for 10 years or somethings screwy. I actually am not that interested in them, I just got one and I was just curious what other people felt it that was a good deal or not.

It's too bad you don't know where these cars are. Since the special items are quite hard to find, seats, emblems, wheels etc., it might be interesting to see what you could salvage (as a better part) into your car.

You could then sell each car separately and recoup your money. It might be a lot of leg work, but as I said, we don't know the condition of those vehicles.

Thats what I was thinking ED. I saw a set or rims on ebay for many hundred. Even the center caps were a couple hundred i think. Th eproblem is that the seats on these things are extinct so unless you pay 2000.00 for reproductions your stuck with a nice car with busted up seats. Thats where im at now.

$6500 for two running 25th Anniversary T/As is a steal for sure, regardless of the TLC needed.

If you have the money and space I wouldn't hesitate to go up to Conn. and look them over well, as long as there isn't anything major wrong with 'em, bring 'em home. Combine all 3 to make one good car, then install the lesser parts into the other two and resell 'em separately.

I watch the 25th car and parts market constantly. In my opinion there is really no point in pulling the used 25th exclusive items off of these two cars for resale. Most original items can be found regularly on Ebay.

Door badges? Why would I buy 98k mile ones removed from a car when originals are readily available at a decent price.

White Bird Taillight center section? Likely faded after 16 years. To refinish it correctly the bird needs to be screen printed on.

Wheels, will need to be refinished.

Seats and door panels? Also probably very worn, and it would take a miracle upholstry person to restore them.

That isnt to say these items should be tossed, yes they should be saved, but I'd suggest sitting on them for another 10 years until the market starts to restore these cars. Then people will want original items to refinish when the NOS parts supply has run out.

As far as these cars go I think they are worth saving but they both will need alot of work to get them in like new condition. They would take less work to turn into decent drivers.

Yup, as long as there's a market for it later. The NOS '68 SS badging I have for my Nova is worth $650 because it's one year only stuff!

I just think its amazing how much the price of the 25th's vary. There was one on I think on ebay for 30 something thousand. Then you see two of them for 6500.00. I know the condition is totally different but that is still a huge stretch.

I don't think anyone was suggesting that he buy these two and sell the 25th specific parts off of them. Common theme seems to be to buy these for a good price, use the better parts (if there are any) off of them to improve the condition of his car, and then resell these two individually after cleaning them up a bit to likely get a bit of profit and have a nicer car for himself in the process.

Actually, all that my car needs that is specific to a 25th is seats. So I definitely wont be buying these for parts. And also, if I had $6500 laying around I'd buy a grand national project. Hope that doesnt offend the Pontiac guys.
