Wiper Issues

I put my wipers back on the car today and now they wont wipe correctly. The black piece that sits on top of the wiper motor that actually spins the arms wont return them to starting position and they wont rest at the bottom of the windshield in between wiping. Anyone have any ideas? I am at a roadblock.

they aren't seated correctly. you need to take them off turn the motor on and let it go for a few times and then turn it off... you should be able to seat them correctly then. i had to play with mine for a while

the issue is with the clutch on the motor. when the wipers park, they are half way up the windshield. a nice how to/write up on setting the motor timing and clutch position would be amazing.

you should post up on ls1tech too. more exposure.
