Several deals have fell apart and my Acura is back out there for sale.

Details:

2002 Acura TL Type-S for sale - $5,895 OBO (certainly negotiable)

This is a one owner Aegean Blue TL-S with the ebony leather interior and is not navigation equipped. Purchased this car in June 2001 and it has 101,1xx miles - on the low side for an 11.5 year old car. Car has been serviced as required and also has had a few non factory upgrades, all of which were professionally done.

This car has never had transmission issues like some of the Acura and Honda FWD sedans - oiling kit was installed by the dealer and trans is excellent. Recent rear brakes and battery (about 2 months ago),

Paint is 7.5 or 8 out of 10 - a few scratches and dings. Still looks excellent when clean - see CL link.

Interior is very good to excellent - driver's seat has much less wear than the 101k would indicate. Leather has been conditioned constantly over the years and has no tears or scratches, Plastic in the interior is also in excellent shape for the age.

Drivetrain is in excellent condition - trans is great, engine has 101k and is running perfectly. FYI - I have not changes the timing chain yet as the book calls for that service at 105 to 100k. Would run about $800 to $950 to have this service done - I am lowering the asking price some to compensate for this. Car still gets over 30mpg on the highway on cruise. A/C works as good as new - never been recharged (no need to).

Suspension - stock struts were replaced by Tokico aftermarket ones a few years ago along with H&R lowering springs, car sits lower, handles better, and so far has not bottomed out with 4 people in it.

Wheels - stock Type-S wheels with the correct 215-50-17 tires - all season Fuzion brand (good grip in the dry with excellent snow ability). One rear wheel is slightly bent on the inside edge - causes a harmonic vibration at 40 to 50mph, but cruises at 70 like new.

Radio - stock CD player died a few years ago and it was replaced with an Alpine CD head unit (MP3 capability), DLS amp, DLS subs (two 10"), and a DLS component speaker set for the front. Still have the factory radio and boxes for the aftermarket parts - all go with the car.

Extras - windows are tinted and really help keep the car cool in the summer. Moon roof works as new and has no leaks.

Car is located in Hillsborough and is available for viewing during the day.

$5,400 takes it...
