LT1 to LS1

as some of you may remember a while back i had the thread on the swaps. now that ive picked up a car to put my junk in, it leaves me with some questions....

WIRING.

i stripped the whole under hood harness out of the Ls1 car(complete with fusebox, ECU and all that stuff) so i assentially have from the fire wall to the rad support out of an LS1 car. now lies my problem.

anyone have any threads or walk threws on how to addapt my LS1 PCM and everything into the LT1 system? theres no wiring job to hard to do(dads an electrician) so even the thought of making a harness isnt that bad. i want want everything to work properly once its set and done.

does painless or anyone just make a plug and play set up ?

What do you mean? The computer uses the engine harness. The lights etc are controlled by the body harness. Fans might be the only thing that would be an issue. You keep the gauge cluster with associated wiring?

I believe big pal got his swap harness from speartech, you could look into them for whatever you think you need. Also google lt1 to ls1 swap, plenty of info out there. Let me know if you have something specific. Post up the ls1's year and the car's year.

thats what i dont want to do, to much work

what i really am aiming for is to take the underhood wiring harness, tie it into the harness in the car, and have everything work.

Just take apart the harness and swap it in. Costs you nothing but time.

If you have that and the engine bay harness (not the engine harness) you should be alright. You may have some issues with the tail light harness but I don't know for a fact. That would be a first rodeo for me. Also, how much stuff do you actually want to work? Like abs, cruise, air bags, etc
