!EGR

yea as you all know i have a massive EGR leak and i thought i fixed it before by replacing the valve (it removed the SES light, but the leak is there), although its prolly simple to fix (my brother thinks that its leaking on one of the two ends at the bottom of the EGR, im guessing its the part that takes the exhaust gas out) i think i'd rather take it out if its not that much of a PITA.

correct me if im wrong but all i would have to do is unbolt about 8 screws and then either buy or fab up 2 block off plates and seal them up and bolt them on (right?) then have bill tune the code out. or is it more complex then that??

i took it off today and used the block off plates for an LS1 that alex gave me, the one for the intake was like a MM or 2 off so i had to cut a lil bit of the plastic off this one thing to make it fit. i sealed it all up and everything then after it was all done kasey was liek start it up! i debated it for a second then did it, the squeal was still there the only thing that i can think of is either the block off plate leaks cuz it wasnt sealed correctly, the driver side exhaust manifold gasket leaks or worst of all the head gasket leaks :-/ for those of u that dont know the noise it makes, its like a high pitched squeal and it dissipates after like 30 seconds...
