that exact kit would not look right on a 3rd gen hood due the fact that 4th gen hoods are much shorter and the 4th gen decals wont reach far enough down the hood.

After you get the hood, email that company and have the measurements of your hood ready, they should be able to custom make something for you. Also then get stripes for the hatch decklid(and a spoiler too if you plan on gettign one). I dunno if id do stripes or your roof though, thatd be up to you. but like with the hood decals, have all the measurements ready when you call.

My SS stripes were not available exactly how i wanted them so I emailed one guy that makes the sets and sent him a modified picture of their current stripes to show exactly what i wanted and they cost the same. It never hurts to ask them, usually they are very willing to work with you to make a sale.

Right.

Best TA hood on those cars is still the 'turbo bump' or whatever you call it. Like on the early ones.

Yeah the off-center turbo hood, carried into the third gens for the early Trans Ams then later the Formulas, were call the "Power Bulge" hoods. The 80-81's had the turbo's with the three light system showing the amount of boost, while the TA's and Formulas of the third gens were just screened and there to look nice.

get either a power bulge or T/A hood. nothing else seems to look right on those cars.

I've seen a few 3rd gen 'birds pull off an LT1 style RA hood, but never the RAII.
