Sounds like a cool project. Looking forward to seeing it.

I might make a couple runs. But at best I am a high 14 sec car. 14.8 at best maybe. But I am most likely going to be running 15s and 16s, even then, thats if I ever do make a couple runs.

I'll definitely be there! Hoping to get my first few runs before that so I can maybe put down some semi-respectable times. I feel weird having a basically stock car (few bolt ons) when everyone seems to be running in the 12's

Don't feel too bad...I will probably be running slower than you if I do run.

I'm so going. I missed last years. Maybe North Jersey can meet up and cruise there in force!

There are usually meet up / cruise threads started by the middle of July in each of the regional sections. If you are planning on racing and / or showing make sure you get there early! Once a long line forms it can take a while to get into the track.

Any chance you guys would put aside 2 lanes for grudge racing? I know the F-body Nationals is all about F-bodies but I have noticed a bunch of hostility amongst members! What better way to put an end to it than in front of the whole F-body community at NJFBOA's biggest track event of the year. If not, dont shoot me, I was just throwing it out there!

We don't officially have grudge lanes open as part of the event, but Island does run a test n tune at the same time, so if you wanna show up and issue a challenge or two, there should be plenty of opportunity to do so

I've been wondering the same thing. Right now its still possible I might have the TA at the nats.....can't say for sure yet though (my timing is still off and the damn crankshaft bolt is rounding on me.) After I get it running the plan is to have Q plates and a regular insurance policy, so no mileage limits and no inspections. I'll probably go anyway for a day of racing and fun.

My firebird's down for the count, and being parted out on. So, thus, yeah ... won't be racing in that event at least.

Good news, if I get my paperwork and exhaust and tires taken care of, I will have my Trans Am at the F-body nationals if the car can make it out to Island Dragway. It fired up finally today! I will be there if I am not in Maine.

lol the good news is I finally got the car running. I've been working on it between school, work, and everything else in life for the past five years. The ifs are probably irrelevant. Me and my brother are thinking of going to Maine a couple weeks after my Mom and sister go up (they are going up the week of the nationals). The Paperwork should be done by next week at the earliest. Tires and exhaust should follow the paperwork shortly thereafter.
