Sounds like you are really putting the effort in. I just watched a car go through wetsanding and buffing, it is a lot of work! Props and can't wait to see the finished rolljob!

Thanks hopefully i finish by tomorrow. The sanding was much easier this time since it barely had orange peel. Tomorrow will be a first for me using compound. Gathering up all the information i can tongiht to do it right. Im also doing it by hand.

So i started to polish the car by hand, 1/3 done with the hood and i was more tired than sanding. I noticed it would take forever, so i went to harbor freight and bought a 15 dollar polisher. Best thing i did, wish i wouldve bought it before i even began sanding. I finished polishing both sides of the car. I still need to do the hood, gfx, edges, front and rear bumpers. Here is a picture so far. Im happy with the reflection it has, not to bad. It took me today about 4-5 hours, and that was with the polisher. Tomorrow i should be finished with the rest. Ill have pics of the finished product tomorrow. After the paint im not sure of what to do next. I have the tints. Maybe that will be next. This should be easier since ive done tinits before. Anybody have any ideas of what i should work on next besides the motor?

Agreed! Looks like a ton of time involved, but hell, the end result looks good! Hopefully it holds up long-term for you. Based on other reviews, it should (I've seen the white Corvair website). Kudos for sticking with it and finishing the job!

Thanks TPI. i plan on waxing it , Here is another pic. 1 more wouldnt hurt . i mustve took about 50 pictures . Since this was my first time it was very time consuming, but if i were to do it again i can probably get it done in half the time now.

Very nice job! Even more impressive that it was done with a roller.

Thanks guys... Today I tried installing the pre cut tints that i bought of ebay. I messed up the first one. The tint got stuck together . Now i know how to go about it if i was to do the other one,but id rather pay a pro at this moment than order another set of ebay.

Very nice paint job. Where in North Jersey are you? I would love to see it in person (if it's good you can spray my fenders/bumpers/headlight covers on my car and make some cash if you'd be interested).

Thanx,,Im up around Clifton... i wouldnt mind letting u see it in person. Its not perfect but honestly came out better than my old auto body guy, but thats only because he was cheap. Lol also it was rolled on,,with rustoleum,,so the color options are very limited lol

Holy crap! Those are incredible results for a roller job. Nice return on the effort you put in. Any chance you can pull that dent out? You've done so much work, it would be worth it to fix that.

i know,,but ive never tried taking out a dent of a car.. It would probably be easier if i just bought a new fender and painted it. Thats the only reason i havent ordered the stripes for it, since the bumper is dented

Pick up a used fender for cheap and paint it up. Your paint job came out way to nice to still have a dent in the fender

Thanx man! It is im surprised myself to tell u the truth...i did not think it would come out looking half as nice as it does... I actually polished the car again last night . It rained today and tomorrow so i will be waxing it on thursday. Hopefully it will add more depth to the paint and look blacker and wetter.

Keep those decals, and get GTA wheels with dark graphite centers.
