lt1 valve covers
could i see some pics of lt1 valve covers or anyone know some good looking ones that will clear aftermarket valve train? looking for anything really, prefer polished aluminum though. thanks

Stockers will clear aftermarket rockers... and fyi, most aftermarket ones will need to be clearanced as well.
You have seen mine, I could get you specifics if ya want.

well i want something that looks cleaner than stock and i figured i could get "tall" ones to clear different rockers. do you have a couple pics and info on yours?

i don't like the welds on the cantons
the second ones i have seen on ebay but i don't know how i would feel about that filler neck. they are pretty nice though

The E-bay ones look like mine, they were made by a company called something like Weysco, but they stopped producing them about 6-7 years ago. I don't know of anyone that still makes the one peice ones anymore.

Canton also stopped producing their high rise valve covers for the LT1, Don't forget the valve cover needs to be notched for the Alt unless you are running a Corvette Serp set up.
You can use Corvette composite valve covers as they don't need to be clearanced, but they are pretty expensive brand new, and when they do pop up used I've seen them move very quickly.

ya i have thought about relocating the alternator but it really doesn't seem worth it. i see some sick looking valve covers then go ah ****, no notch! i'll keep looking around though, thanks guys

Powder coat the stockers bright red or something like that. Looks real nice IMO.
