Salvage Yards
Has anyone been to Absolute Auto & Truck Salvage in Middlesex? I called them today and they're a you-pick-it place a few blocks south of route 28 in Middlesex. Open 7am - 2pm on Saturdays, regular business hours M-F.
Looking to find out if they have a decent f-body collection. The person I talked to said they have everything (of course), but just wanna make sure. GI Auto Salvage has f-bodies too but they get stripped quick.

No, but I'd be intrested if they have decent stuff. I'm sick of all of the U-Pulls having 1984 Hyundais.

Ok guys, I went to Absolute Auto Salvage in Middlesex. The mission - 4th gen TA seats. Unfoirtunately, once again, I was disappointed. Not only did I not find any seats, the only f-bodies there are 3rd gens. I took some pics for people in case they are lookin gfor something, but I didnt take a pic of all the 3rd gens. Some were just too far gone IMO.

Like I said, those were the best ones there. Only 3rd gens, nothing else f-body. Plenty of imports and trucks / SUVs of all makes as well. I enjoy cruising junkyards so if you have nothing else to do, at least it's a decent walk around. You might find something non-f-body there if you're looking.

The spoiler on that blue 92 TA was toast. Unlike earlier aerowing spoilers, the spoilers on the 91/92 is made of plastic - the one in the pic completely shattered it just wans't that clear in the pic.
The tail lights however were in good shape. I considered grabbing those myself however I was feeling lazy and stopped there on my way to a client site.

You aint kidding....I called this guy just out of curiosity and asked him for a price on a set of tail lights for an 82-92 firebird. He told me 45 dollars each unless they are the longer style then they are more money. Also told me Misc interior trim pieces were between 5 dollars and 20 dollars

Funny you should mention this Chris. I went to GI Auto Salvage on Friday after work. They had nothing.
I mean, nothing F-body wise, and much of their domestic (GM) section was gone. The center section left, right after you walk back to where the stuff is, was so empty it was eerie. Plenty of Ford stuff just to the right, but to the left where the Chevy and Pontiac stuff usually is, there was very little.
Give it another 2 months - might rebuild their inventory again.
