700r4 or 4l60e ???? please help!!

I have a 95 camaro with a 4l60e and im not sure on what direction to go with my trans. I have nothing but problems with my first rebuilt 4l60e. It wouldnt shift at wide open throttle just bounce off of the rev limiter. I would have to let off the throttle for it to shift. When i would do a hot lap a the track it wouldnt leave hard after the first run also. I was at the tunner twice and back to the trans shop trying to solve the problem. The trans shop put in another valve body but same problem. Now the trans is gone no third or fourth gear, so im going to get a new trans. I was leaning towards a perfomabuilt level 2. I am just nervous that the problem is in my tune and cant get anyone to tune it properly and to be honest i dont want to go to another dead end tune. I was thinking about just going manual valve body but wasnt sure if i should get a 700r4 with manual valve body or 4l60e with manual valve body. Or should i get another 4l60e and try it again. ha. I just want to eliminate the possibilty of disapointment again haaa. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks for reading and happy holidays.

FYI my setup is a 383 lt1,3600 trans specialties converter, 12 bolt with 4:11 gear.

Sounds like a stall wall issue in the tune, but, PB would be easy cause they offer a year warranty no matter if you race on it and their local(ish)

Yeah I just grabbed a pb level 2. Haven't really beat it up yet but I was having 1-2 no shift issues. Bryan @ Pcm4less never tuned out my stall wall.

I remember asking you if that had been done once or twice. Was that the problem?

I remember asking him to do it initially too

I haven't put the new tune in yet but we'll see. Part throttle its fine and I've only gone WOT after a burnout so its a good possibility that's the issue. Ah well.

I also had problems at the track with my 2 to 3 shifts. I would have to let off the throttle in order to shift into 3rd. After going through two stock 4l60e trans in my car I installed a performabuilt level one and never looked back.

Pardon the hijacking, but 700R4 is a 4L60E, sans the electronically controlled part. Wouldn't it require a bit of work to go with the 700R4 with a detent cable?

Where can I purchase an upgraded trans like that? What about building the stock 4L60E to handle more power with better clutches and Kevlar bands? Thanks!
