I dont think we like the fuddruckers better it just seems that in the two meets that ive participate at any applebees the mngt hasnt been very understanding or helpful in trying to set aside any space for us.
The Manager I spoke to at the Edison Applebees seemed willing to work with us, as long as we could at least give her two days notice on how many people to expect. She was honest enought to say that we would be spread across several Tables-not an unexpected thing if one's group numbers 40-50 people-but made every overature to make me feel we'd be welcome.

If that's okay with everyone, then I'll make the arrangements, once I know for a fact that we have a commitment of enough people.

If the group would rather try the Fuddruckers on Rt 1 & 18, then I'll first have to stop in there, and see if they can accommodate us.

kewl, sounds like we have some good locatin ideas, now we need to work on a date.
i think that the begining or middle of teh month would be better. once you get into late january teh possibility of snow increases greatly. teh saturdays in january are the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. i woudl think aiming for teh 8th or 15th would be good.
anyone got any opinions on that?

Can't do any Saturdays, I work. Sundays are okay, except for January 2nd. So, for me at least, it would have to be the 9th, 16th, 23rd, or 30th.

Beacon Street Bar and Grill has a HUGE parking lot. Â*Dont let the name fool you. Â*They have a large car show, probably 60 or so cars, every weds durring the summer, and there is still plenty of room for parking. Â*

Its near the shore, very easy to get to, and is VERY central, and they love cars! Â*We can have a vote for what place is easier for everyone.

Also, I think we should have it early before people have to go back to school. I think we would have a larger group of people if everyone was still home on break.
I say 9th, 10th or 11th, 16th, 17th or 18th for dates....as long as its after teh 4th so I can drink 8)

Darn, sure isn't easy trying to pick a day when we all can actually get together, and it doesn't seem like picking a location is a piece of cake either .

Oh well, hopefully somehow this thing will get settled, like maybe at that Applebees on Rt 1 South in Edison

Just a thought you know

Well, we have had three meets on Saturdays, so I say it's only fair to have the next one on a Sunday. How about January 9th at Beacon?

Does that sound good to most people?

Either a Sat or Sun is good for me. Any day you pick, I'll be there.

I know, I'm not much help on deciding a day....sorry about that.

i am leanign towards the beacon idea personally. it seems like we may be able to get something more concrete out of them ahead of time compared to applebees.
it is a lot more fun to all sit together IMO.
also, if the palce has a history of car shows/cruise nights, people are more likely to stop by and see the cars.
al, could you try to get over there adn get some more details for us? if you can get info we can come to a final decision and get this thing posted up on teh rest of the board

So where is this Beacon place And I think Applebees would be worth a shot, and if not, then Fuddruckers at Rt 1 & 18 is another place I can check in to

Beacon Street is in Neptune NJ, on Rt66.
Very easy for everyone to get too and you can use any combo of roads to get here.
I have off tomorrow, so maybe ill take a little time out of my day and go talk to them.
