Just a little ol'LS2

Soooooo I started a new project.

Purchased a used ls2 bare block and a new 402 rotating assembly.

After bringing the block to ceralli competition engines we found porous main caps. After weighing the option of doing billet caps with align honing and other things we tried another block. That one bad a chipped wall.

Looked at my options and had them send it out to ERL. Thst little ol'LS2 was resleeved to fit it's new components.
4.185" bore x 4.000" stroke yielding a 440.

After receiving the assembled 440 short block I had the go ahead to work with rktuning, BTR and ceralli/Matt Meisner on a top end for it.

Ended up deciding on a set of cathedral based, trickflow 245s worked by BTR/TEA, MSD 103mm airforce, nick Williams 102mm TB, ARH 1 7/8" - 2" headers, BTR stroker cam 244/256 .629"/.604" 114+3 along with some other little goodies in there.

To handle all of this I decided in running the mantic twin disc 9000 clutch

Tear down has begun, waiting for some more parts to come in. Should not be much longer.

Looks awesome.

What is this going in?

What made you go with cathedral heads and the MSD intake?

Going in my camaro

As far as the heads/intake style it was tuner/builder recommendations based on what I want to do with the car.

And what do you want to do with the car? I'm not trying to harass you, I just want more info about the build.

Looking forward to more updates, that's a nice clean 4th gen

All good. It's pretty much just going to be a ridiculous street car. Highway stuff maybe roll racing events and if I ever get sometime bring it to a road course.

I don't want a track specific car.
