Question WHY??

I was on 287 N around Piscataway last week. There was a green or black 4th gen ws6...or so I thought...barrelling up behind me weaving in and out of rush hour traffic. So first I'm thinking "what a jackass." I move over so as not to get run off the road because it's in my lane coming up way too fast. The car blows past me in the fast lane and cuts over three lanes in about 100 feet to exit. The driver was a youngish girl.

Now I didn't think anything of the fact that it was a female driver. I didn't think anything of the fact that she was driving recklessly and dangerously. What DID surprise me was the fact that it wasn't a ws6, but a regular 6 cyl firebird.......WITH A WS6 HOOD!!!! There were no mods...no exhaust, no rims/tires, no NOTHIN'! So all I have to wonder, which is the title of this thread, is...............

WHY????????

If you think about it, that's a pretty easy idea to do to a V6 to make it look like an 8. If you only see the front of it, like you did in traffic at first, you were amazed that it was a WS6. So, good job to the girl who fooled you for a few moments! I think that's pretty neat! She just has to make sure she backs in where ever she parks! haha

a ram air hood looks much better then the stock hood on 98+ firebirds. i think most people put them on for appearance moreso then performance.

lets be honest hear

what looks better

98-02
trans am
Firebird
WS6

even with ground effects the firebird looks like ****.. even the regular trans am looks like crap with out a aftermarket hood! but it does look better then a firebird or formula. If I was that girl I would have put a ws6 hood on it, if i had the money. but I would never buy a 4thgen firebird.

thats why she put it on their, or at least I think why she put it on their, who knows she could have purchased the car like that.
