I saw that headline this morning when I stopped at the Dunkin' on 130 in Robbinsville...I chuckled a bit.

So did I, but I also expected a bit more from the paper that ran the "Roasted Nuts" headline when the psychiatric hospital caught on fire several years ago. I was thinking there might be some sort of dog pound / bird cage reference.

The eggles are sure rolling the dice on this one.

Now a strange related story...my alarm clock comes on with WMMR out of Philly, I think it is the Preston & Steve show. I dunno, their babbling usually forces me to get up and turn it off. Anyway, today I’m like ¼ awake and they are talking about Vick. Someone named Melissa was yelling at a guy named Kasey. And I start wondering why Melissa and Kasey are on the radio. Then I woke up and turned off the radio.

I know you have to put things into perspective, but I love how one article on Yahoo said that he signed a 1 year contract for ONLY 1.6 million. Granted this is not even close to what he was making, but I blame the owners for giving in to these ULTRA high demands (such as a 97 million contract) for example, Eli Manning. HOW MUCH IS TOOOOOO MUCH! Can someone spend that much or do you run out of things to buy. I would love to not have to buy Shop-Rite brand items or day old bread, but in these tough economic times we all have to pull in our belts, BUT NOT THE PROFESSIONAL PLAYERS! Just letting off steam.

if all the people "pulling in their belts" stopped buying merchandise and tickets, the players wouldn't get as much.
