What to use to clean an LS1 intake?

What is safe to you to clean the exterior of the intake? Something that won't attack it or leave a residue etc?

Watered down simple green seems to do everything well.

Water here. Wash it off w/ the engine cold, then crank it up and hose it down again as it warms up.
