EGR free mod

[off topic] finally we got the smilies back!!!!! [/off topic]

EGR Free Mod

is this worth the time and effort or is it just easier/better to delete it?

my dad says that if i deleted the EGR i wouldnt pass inspection. for the emissions test do the do anything besides plugging a scanner in and look for codes?

I did it on my car...no ill effects...i saw egr & just assumed you were dumping yours. And your right it wont throw any codes that i know of...never did it on a v6 though so im not sure how easy/difficult/effective it is though.

so its either !it or keep it then huh? but why wouldnt it work? all theyre doing is cutting the tip off of the EGR pipe/tube so that it doesnt stick out

On the LS1's.... the tube gets in the way of air flow.

By cutting off that 1 inch it picks up a couple hp
