Anyone know a link or how to identify a 4L60E transmission?

I'm thinking that the trans in my 96 SS isn't the original since I can tell it's been pulled out at some point in time. But the problems I had with the passenger side header and having to cut the "ear" off the trans bellhousing flange made me think something isn't right. So I checked the codes stamped into the transmission and it looks like '3MFD167C' and cast into the housing is M30. This looks like a 93 or 2003 transmission. Does anyone know how to decode the trans stamping?
