Paul, I'm pretty interested in either the Sonax Full-Effect or the Griots wheel cleaner. What's the CTW price on the latter?

Brian,

We will be there.

Let me know what you need and it will be coming along.

If there is anything you want, let me know (any brand) - I should be able to get it in the next few days.

I can get just about any tire brand, but except for the super expensive stuff, I can't really save much $ due to NJ sales tax.

Try Discount tire direct - they offer free shipping.

Mike,

Unfortunately I don't have the Griot's wheel Cleaner in new 35oz bottles, only the gallons (which are $35/each - refills the 35oz 3.6x). However, I do have a used, empty 35oz bottle for the wheel cleaner that I will give you if you want the gallon (my personal bottle).

Question - what type of wheels are you cleaning? And what type of car? I want to make sure you get the right cleaner.

Interesting idea, Paul. The wheels I actually clean are non-cleared OEM polished C6 wheels (putt-putt around town on), Factory chromed T/A 5 spokes (for DR setup), and polished Non-cleared STS 17s (DD's wheels attached to a brake dust machine).

I'll tackle some factory painted wheels (girlfriend, friends, particular family members) but nothing I get overly anal-retentive about.

What would you recommend in this scenario?

Mike,

Honestly the Griot's will work on all those situations. If you have a BMW/Audi/Benz that needs special attention, get some of the Sonax - but it's not necessary on "normal dust" cars. I use the Sonax on the wife's 5 series as that car is a dust factory... For my cars and anything "normal", I use regular wheel cleaner - I am still working on a few other brand bottles of cleaner at this point.

I'm going to make a suggestion that you may want to try out on your chrome wheels: clean your wheels thoroughly first, then polish them with Meguiar's Hot Rims chrome polish, then put a coat of wax or sealant on them (reg or wheel specific) - it keeps the wheels clean much longer and they shine like new (or even better than new). My LaCrosse has factory chrome wheels and this is what I do and they come out better than awesome. $7 a bottle at Pep Boys or Autozone...

I have a Griot's drying towel in stock and am ordering some very good generic ones in the next few days also. $27 for the Griot's.

Anyone has questions or would like me to put things on the side for the 12/15 meet?

I will take the Sonax kit as mentioned and also the Griots drying towel. Can you bring one of the generic ones so I can take a look at it?

I will bring them too.

In fact, I just packed up 2 bins of stuff for the meet, including some wax and other MF towels...

Right now, I am offering Sonax 500ml (16.9oz) spray wheel cleaner for $14 per bottle - I have a few left in stock.

I do have a few of the Sonax Bonus Packs in stock - it includes 2 500ml wheel cleaners and a 325ml dashboard cleaner, all for $32. The dashboard cleaner ends up at $4 cost for you.

If you need a larger size of the wheel cleaner, I can get 5 liter bulk size at $103.50 per unit (it is 169oz of cleaner). You just need a spray bottle as it is a bulk size. I buy this size for the detailing I do here in the shop.

Prices do include NJ sales tax.
