Meet Location Idea

Hey i'm new to the site and the community but after looken at the posts looks like you guys are looken for a gathering spot. Friday night's in downtown Somerville is a classic car show everyone usually pops out on good nights and everyone is welcome. If you guys are looken for a good place theirs plenty of large parking lots to commune in (i'd suggest behind hollywood video, by McDonald's and Rita's Italian Ice) We could all park our cars and BS, theirs also good food and stuff and alot of fun classic cars and car people. Should be good a good place i think has anyone else been their?

Yea, several of us have been there. One of our members knows the guy who organizes the cruise, and we were gonna talk to him about getting spots right on main street one night. I haven't seen him post in a while though, so I don't think he checks the forums anymore.

PS - Welcome to the club!

Welcome aboard! I've been to the Somerville cruise several times and it's a lot of fun. I'm hoping to make it there again before the end of the month if my crazy schedule allows.

VanillaGorilla was the guy I think that knew a bit of the behind-the-scenes stuff for the cruise nights. Haven't seen him in a while.

The parking lot behind Hollywood Video probably works best - stay away from the grocery store side, and out of the main street since the true classics should be there.

I can get the number of the guy that books the clubs there. If you guys want it PM me and I'll ask my father. His Z car club has done it each of the last 3 years.

Maybe the Friday before the Nationals is a good place and time to bring some flyers and a show of force? I say that despite my own car being up on blocks, but some might be willing and able to make the drive up to Somerville on Friday, then to Nats that Sunday.

Paul, if your dad can get the number, please have him get it and send me a PM. If we could reserve the space for this year still, that would be great!

I was supposed to get that info from VanillaGorilla back in September, but I never did.
