The hatch has the power pull down and all of a sudden wont pull down. Don't hear the motor engaging when I pull it down. Any fuses i need to look at?

make sure that the latch isnt in the locked position, put the key in it and turn it like you would open it,sometimes the latch will close and will prevent it from closeing properly.

Its the automatic power pulldown hatch. The battery was not fully charged since the winter. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it. Putting a full charge on it now. Usually you hear the motor at least and i dont hear anything.

does it latch but not pull down?

if so, id say pull the plastic from that area, expose the motor, and give it a few taps with a hammer. the brushes on the inside seem to go bad on these things pretty frequently.

No does not sound like its latching nor do i hear the motor engage to try to pull it down.....Theres like this 1in and a half metal bar that goes across the top of the latch...looks like the end of a hex wrench...I dont see how the latch can fit in the latch opening with this little bar going across it...

I had these problems a couple of months ago. Fist make sure the batt. is charged then check your fuses. I forget where it is in the fuse box but it's a blue one with a 15 on it.

If the fuse is good, it could be the switch in the hatch motor. I'll probably need to cleaned and greased too.

Mine gets caught halfway sometimes. If you take a screwdriver and press in on the latch mechanism it should pull the motor all the way to the bottom. Then you can release it and it'll come all the way back up and you can shut it properly then. Good luck.

I really need to see a pic of another assembly or look at someone elses. Theres a piece that wraps around a bar and it has a black cover on the top...Looks like a spring and the end of it comes out to the right...The end of it looks like the end of a hex wrench. It's like 1/2 inch long. Where that fits in the scheme of things I dont know. Any pics on the internet at all that anyone knows of?

I did a quick google search and didn't come up with anything. You should post up pics of yours if you can, and we may be able to tell you what's wrong with it.
