He talked about John Fitch!!!!!! I love that guy!!! he's the coolest guy on this planet. he's 90, and still racing, he's trying to get a 300SL to break its class record atthe salt flats, and he's always at Lime Rock for the historics. He loves his photo taken, signing autographs, and takign people for a drive in his what we call the " Fitch mobile", but its also called a pheonix, its a corvair chassis with a design he had made, he always thought the Corvair was a monumental car that could of taken off if GM would of worked on it more.

my friend's gf's father actually has a Corvair vert sittin in his garage collecting dust. Looks like it's sat for years but the body seems to be in great shape as well as the top.

I love corvairs, but they get no lovin unless its a turbo version lol. thay are cool, a boxer motor, rear engine, they were playing the tune of porsche back in the day, but it never really took off. I know a guy that suped up a motor, put Porsche tripple carbs on it, and runs about 300HP, thing is nasty in it, but has a tendancy to breakdown cause its not really ment for that kind of power haha.

Clear coat comment = serious.
Bargain = car in general.

For $119k it is actually a bargain, if you consider the cars that it can compete with.

Only the carbon fiber parts are painted with the special clear so the expoxy or resin doesnt yellow over time with sun exposure
