SDPC Vortec 350

In a nutshell...350 block, vortec heads, sdpc intake base, LT4 hotcam w/ 1.6 rr, TPI with SLP runners, 24# injectors, hooker 2055 headers, holley AFPR. thats all i can think of that are engine related off the top of my head.

After speaking with a few people...

I expect somewhere in the ballpark of 300 rwhp and aout 375-400 rwtq.

coupled with a few things to the car + traction...i want high 12s.

That's the exact motor I plan on building, except I'll have a Stealthram to replace my TPI. Let us know how it runs, it looks awesome!

few questions...are you using a stock 350 block with pistons? is it also stock compression? Thanks 8)

im honestly not sure which 350 block it is, but it isnt an L98...I called scoggin dickey and asked and they just said its an 88+ 350 block...i assume it may be an L31 as it has vortec heads...9.6:1 CR...I'm not sure if thats because i've got real flat top pistons or if its because of the cam.

your bore size and the size of the combustion chamber are what affect your combustion ratio. the smaller things like whether the pistons are dished, flat top or domed, the height of the head gasket and so on add smaller changes to CR, and when it's all taken into account is when you get the true CR number. your cam won't affect your CR.

i'd see if i could pull the numbers off the block and check with Motec.com to see if you can get a better idea of what block you've got there. you could have an '88 block with vortec heads and it doesn't necessarily have to be an L31.
