I've had it with my turd of a motor. I'm either taking the motor to a competent shop or I'm selling the motor and starting fresh.

Sadly, there's no really experienced LT1 shops that I can think of around here. I'm not speaking of motor specifically as in mechanical, but overall. I need a shop that builds, tunes, and knows LT1's inside and out, and can hack the extra idiosyncrasies of a 93 at that. I need a shop that can properly troubleshoot a running issue that's been a thorn in my side for 2+ years now.

I THINK carteck does LT1 work, and I know theirs Rapid upstate. Not to many people specify in LT1's these days. When theirs 8 previous years of LT1 F-Bodies + Corvettes! Almost the same number as LS1 powered cars, Everyone had to start from somewhere

Thanks guys, Cartek and Rapid both came to mine but both are essentially LS1 specialists now, same thing with TTP.

I think what may end up happening is if I can work it out and get the timing right, I may just take the car up to Golen Engine Service as then KNOW their ****e up there.

if you want a real LT1 specialist you better look up Joe Overton... his car is sick and i belive he is specializing in lt1's at his shop in maryland

Problem with that is pretty much that Joe won't mess with it unless it's got some kind of DFI on it. That, and getting ahold of him.

Not with Tunercat RT and a RT tuner box. Works just like the 94+ stuff except you need to physically burn the chip after the fact.
