Okay, here is the deal. I'm going to be getting a thousand bucks back for my tax return (it helps when you write off $2700 worth of tools  ).

I figure I could do 2 worthwhile things with this money. I could buy a cheap F body or I can lift my Jeep and fix what's wrong with it.

now as it stands, if I do one, I wont be able to do the other for a fairly long time (probably until next year) because I dont make a hell of a lot of money and I have a lot of bills to pay. Lets have your opinion :)

Fix the Jeep, don't lift it, and pay off some bills. Trust me, you'll be better off!

I've seen a lot of people lift jeeps and run into problem with alignments and etc. I truly don't know much about lifting and off-roading so I can't be one to talk but the point is lots of people run into problems once they lift I think.

I say buy an f-body.

If your interested I have a buddy with a 91 GTA about 90K on the clock has some slight damage to the front left fender and bumper. I think he'll let it got for around $1,500. Let me know if your interested I'll give you more details and can get you some pictures.

Okay, I just remembered that there is a way I can get back into an F-body without using the tax return

*edit*

everyone also has to remember, if I were to buy an F-body, I could only spend a thousand or less. I also wouldn't have any money to put into it so it would need to be ready to drive for that much cash. not very possible, but it could happen.

Hrm, Id say pay off whatever bills or at least put it twards paying off your bills and fix your Jeep for whatever it needs. Save some of the cash for f-u money, and then work on it from there. Maybe invest it in something and let your money grow.

as scary as it sounds coming from me, i say fix the Jeep, but don't lift it.

XJs don't take very well to lifts and seeing the budget you have to work with, it really would be better to just fix the immediate problems with it and save the rest of the money.

put it in your savings account and forget you have it til next years return, then see what you can do.

Really?

Well then, get that, fix the Jeep, and either drop the rest into an account that will earn you some decent interest (like an ING savings account - 4% interest rate) or use it to pay your bills.

There ya go. But Ian, you can't turn around and sell the fbody right after. Hold onto it for a while. :)
