Something that has a deep throaty sound to it when you get on it and has a nice idle sound

I would say Hooker or Magnaflow. Both sound good on a sbc...

Hooker Super Comp Cat back

They make a super comp cat back?

All I have ever heard of for F-Bodies is the Aerochamber cat back....

I think it takes alot of time and custom fitting... I would be doing it but am opting for the standard "false" dual exaust muffler (40 series from flowmaster). I cant stay away from that flowmaster sound...3" all the way back though and no cat so it should make up for the little backpressure they make...I hope.

Spintechs sound pretty dam good on cammed cars

Id tap a seriously quiet muffler and run a single cut-out before it borla style 8)

there was a kid I went to highschool with who had a cammed 2000 SS with a spintech catback....serious drool factor.

You can make a single work fine... only reasons for true duals IMO are bragging rights and the better sound

that is EXACTLY what hooker advertises..."deep throaty powerful sound that doesn't change with time." i have a hooker, and even for a 6 it sounds deep and throaty. go with them i think.

I think it's 3" in/dual 2.5" out.
