Well apparently the boss didn't dig my 8 hour shift proposal so we are staying on 12s. We have plenty of manning for 8s, but apparently it makes too much sense. Anywho, we are changing from 9-9 to a 6-6. I will now be working from 6pm to 6 am. The whole deal behind this is that on the 9-9 we would work 10 hours before the aircraft mechanics came in to do their shift change(swapping out or all the tools they use to the next shift). On the 6-6 schedule we would only be at work an hour before their shift change so we are less apt to miss something on turn in or hand out. So as of april 2nd, 6pm-6am will be my work hours. It's not 8s, but atleast I will be out of work before our supervision comes in...woohoo lol

Been on 12 hour shifts for almost 6 months now FTL

Yeah I know. I was really hoping for 8s. then I wouldn't have to go into work until 11 pm :) and get out at 8.
