Watta day, watta week...
OK, the Caddy was tied up @ the shop since Tuesday, as they claimed to have been shipped the wrong cat converter twice. This morning I didn't hear from them, so I had my wife drop me off, and I told them I wasn't leaving until the car was done, and that it better be done by 1 'cause I had to go to work. Welp, at 1:15 they got the air tube for the cat con that they were waiting on, and I hit the road. I was driving to work, and the car didn't seem to be running right...it seemed sluggish. I was pizzed knowing I would have to go back to the shop to see what the hell was up, but at least I was getting to work. Then all of a sudden...BOOM! The friggin' muffler fell off the car, and I was dragging it down Rt 7. I got out of the car, ripped the muffer off the hanger, and threw it in the trunk. I pulled into the parking lot at work, and called the shop. I told the manager that i don't know waht the hell they did to my car, but I wasn't driving it out of that parking lot. I told him I wanted it towed back to the shop, and that he better figure out a way to get me another car to get around in. So, he sets me up for a tow, and also gets Enterprise to get me a rental car. The tow truck came out, and a very nice lady from Enterprise brought me a Dodge Caliber to get myself home. Well, the night goes on, and I'm drained from all the BS. I get in the car to go home, and the first song that came on the radio was "Patience" by GnR. Welp, I lost it. I sat in the parking lot for a good 10 minutes blubbering like a baby. I finally got my chit together and drove the pizz outa that Caliber on the way home. It is a pretty nice 'lil car. :) And I'll tell ya this much...as long as I have this rental I ain't going anywhere near that shop. I don't care if I have the Caliber all weekend. :)
