What do you think, should they make a mid engine Corvette?
IMO they should stick to what they have been doing for years. Engine in the front is proven. I don't see really any advantage to a Mid Engine Corvette. I think it would be a waste of money.

Well if anybody remembers the corvette indy concept from the late 80's or 90's that was a mid engine car plus it had the LT5 in it! here is a link about it....http://www.carstyling.ru/car.asp?id=1320

Corvette indy is cool but look at the Aeovette. Built a model kit of it. Cross a 'vette with a DeLorean.Rear engined Lt-1

Yeah, they tried with the Corvette Indy/CERV III.
I think it should stay front engine to keep it cheap.

Anybody notice the body was teh same design in that magazine as the Cadillac Cien? idk, I love mid engine cars, im a stickler for saying everything should be in the rear, and mid engine cars are better then FR, thus why the majority of sports car and international car racing the engine is in the rear. F1, LMP, Cart, IRL,Top Fuel Dragsters,Hill Climb, and such others are MR. Infacti n 1999, when Panoz brought their LMP Roadster to Le Mans, it was the first time since 1963 i think that a open top front engine car raced in it, and you take a look at 90% of the supercars of today, they run MR. Better weight distribution, lower body lines, adn other advantages could take the vette tothe next level. And yet its an american icon, would you really want to change something that America is known for since 1953? its reallyo nthe fence with me on this one. but if i have to say one thing guys, look up the IMSA Corvette of the 80's. ran a V6 turbo in it, and was MR....
mid engine would be great for racing, but almost all of the corvettes sold just drive around town. for practical reasons, the motor should stay up front
