They are ok, I downloaded a song by mistake, and I was just downloading more, and the song, call me when your sober, really hit me hard, I remember riding in the back seat of my cousins car, going to my grandma's wake and the song was playing.

I love Evanescence, I have all their CDs, pretty much all the same songs just different versions before they changed them to appeal to a wider audience for their label, some unheard stuff tho that's real good.

I would recommend that if u like Evanescance check out Nightwish, they're very good too, very similar style.

Lacuna coil is amazing too. Amy Lee's voice is phenomenal.. i'm not sure which band i like better.

amy lee's voice sounds outstanding....in a studio. I've seen her live a couple times and she absolutely needs those headphones on. she cant sing on key AT ALL without her own voice fed back into her ear. it's bad enough to be borderline painful.

but i agree, on the radio/CD/IPOD she sounds great.

I like their music as well, but like Pink Floyd, there is a deffinate difference in the eras for both CDs. Ben Moody's influence is as obvious as a brick to the head on the first album, whereas Amy Lee's heavy hand influence (by all accounts) on the second album is far more relaxed, with almost no hard rock riffs in it. I like both albums for different reasons.

You'll note the first album came out to great praise, while the second album was met with luke warm praise. They need to go back to mixing Amy Lee's voice and piano with more hard rock riffs.

I have Origin, Fallen, and The Open Door, and out of those three albums I like Fallen the best, with Origin a close second. The Open Door has some decent tracks, but nothing like Fallen.

Going Under is definitely my favorite with Hello a close second. Just got The Open Door and so far, I really like Fallen a ton better.

Throw Evanescence into the Google Videos; actually found a video for Going Under (Probably not news to most people, but I got a kick out of it) as well as a live acoustic performance of the same song with Amy and a guitar player. Awesome!

Lacuna has been around since @ 97. Evenessance dosen't have half the talent or creativity that Lacuna has. Also try a few of the bands I listed above. Way f'n better than Evenessence.

One of the few songs to give me goosebumps is My Last Breath which is track 10 on their Fallen album. Of course it doesn't help when I listen to that song in a depressed mood. :lol:
