My friend in texas just got true dual exhuast put on his 94 caprice and he says it feels like its got a miss now. Its a ex cop car with the lt1. ive heard about this with other lt1s but never a source of the problem.

unfortunetly, thats very vague decription. What all work was done? Headers too? If so maybe they hit a plug or wire or something? Was it professionally installed?
Maybe its coinicidence and not related to the true duals.

no headers, just ran two pipes that dump right behind the rear wheels. that was it no other work was done. it was done at a shop, i was thinkin the opti went, but i remember hearing that happened on a lt1 t/a that just had a cat back installed. i dont see how that can affect the ignition though.

Yea,I don't see a cat-back causing a miss. Most likely a coincidence. Tell him to check the plug wires on both ends and make sure nothing came loose, and to check and make sure the wires arent frayed or burnt. If its still happening, it could be the opti.
