ive always wanted a FAST car (i dont consider 12.51 fast) but i miss my bike so much. they would both be seasonal since the camaro wears slicks all year.

How fast do you want to go in the car? What would you buy with 3-4K? If you have a certain ET in mind is 3-4K truly going to be enough to make it fast and keep it together?

i say bike. investing in a 12+ year old car for some lols isn't too wise. actually, let me put it this way. if i could do it over again, i would have kept my car stockish (no heads/cam/rear) and gotten a nice cruiser bike.

I htink the extra money put into the car will give a higher chance of breaking something like he said. Unless you plan on doing a well thought out build with the right parts you're probably better off with the bike.

But getting your car faster is way more fun and a good challenge for you.

id be doing a built trans, "higher stalled torque converter"(is that correct enough for everyone? lol) almost full suspension, and a nitrous kit. the trans, converter, and N2O would be installed before i got home and the suspension i would do myself

btw once the motor goes i plan on doing a forged bottom end 383 with heads, cam, and lots of spray. this would be a step in the right direction since i wouldnt be wasting money on a motor that was gonna go anyway.

if you are doing trans, converter & suspension, you have absolutely no money left over for N2O. If you are going to do it in a manner that will both please you and be as safe as possible, you need to budget $1500+ for an N2O system and install everything yourself, otherwise you'll have a system with no safety features and will be heating your bottle up with a propane torch like the retards on PINKS do. i priced out a new system for myself and came up with a budget number of $2500.

i vote that you don't have enough money and should buy a bike.

Nitrous works LT1 Plate kit = $500. the rest of what ill need would run around 500 more. and were not getting into heating a bottle with a torch because this thread isnt about that. i may have to go over my budget a little for the Nitrous but no where near 2500 unless im doing a DP kit...

If you're confident that you can keep the car together with the funds you have set aside I say go for it. But I'm also biased, I'm not a bike person at all. I get no enjoyment out of them and you're restricted in its use even more so than the Z.

The question is, based on the possible power of the car after the nitrous and stuff what would please YOU more? The bike or the car? Set financial issues aside, lets say the Z was a solid, reliable 11.50's car..and you could get a bike. Which would please you more?

i get more pleasure out of racing car with the camaro because ive never come across a car on the street that could take my bike and most people wouldnt even race me. i get alot of attempts in the camaro. but other then that i get more joy out of just riding the bike around

It's a tough decision........ but I'd go for a bike..... the money you save in gas can go into the car ;)

which would you get more pleasure out of DRIVING. Not racing. the faster you make a car, the less streetable it is, the more it sees track time and less road time. next thing you know you'll need a truck and trailer to get it there. A very smart man once told me that you should keep your race cars and street cars separate. Race cars aren't meant for long drives and street cars aren't meant for the beating they will get on the track. When you make your street car a race car, expect to pay more in the long run than you would on two separate cars.

Bike, gas prices are ridiculous right now and the money you save on gas could go into the camaro at a slow rate. Just be careful if you get a bike man.

i am getting a DD regardless of which route i go and id rather the camaro be a weekend/nice day kind of car. the only down fall of the bike is that i HATE having to constantly check the weather to see if its going to rain. im not a fan of riding in the rain.

I can see why you are having trouble. I have trouble even casting a vote in your poll.

But thinking more about it, I'd hot rod the Camaro and drive a beatbox daily.

That way if you are really attached to it you won't be as pushed to sell it in a few years if a wife and kids start showing up... just saying...

Invest it into something that will make you more money and enjoy your slow Camaro for now.

Depends on the bike, if its a crotch rocket it would be fun, fast and good on gas. If it's a cruiser nahh, invest in the Camaro

im more then likely getting a bike for now. just because i miss it so much. Riding a bike is far more enjoyable then driving the car (unless im racing someone). i still have awhile until im home so well see if my mind changes before that time

if i didnt live in NJ or nearly died on a bike a couple years back i would be pro-bike all the way... but i do and i did, so i suggest put a little money towards the camaro and buy a nicer beater than you intended to

That bike has been nearly dead for a while now too.....My camaro has been worked on more lately than that bike.
