ok so i went to island last night and tested my new turbo for the 1st time. i get about 4 passes down the track and after that my car started idleing a little rough. i gave it a rest and retried another run and the 1/4 mile times just started getting horrible. it ran crappy the whole way home and popped a code but it was for one of the oxygen sensors. i feel like it might be a missfire but im not seeing any codes to indicated one. my other thought is a vacume leak but on my first look didnt notice anything out of place. im going to check each plug & wire later today to rule those out but does anyone have any other ideas? the car is a 98 ta with an sts turbo kit running 7 lbs of boost

If its a composite intake... a possible crack on the backside from the boost?

How was ur a/f during the run? Pull the plugs see how they look. I whould do a compression and leak down test. Shoot me a pm We can diagnose it for ya if you want.

reading the plugs now isnt going to give u any answers, to read a plug the right way u need to shut the car down immediately after u cross the stripe, pull over and rip one out.
also if u think there is a possibility u cracked ur intake, try spraying carb clean around the mani and see if u get any variation in rpm.

the reson to chek the plugs is with a bad tune up he could have melted a plug ive seen it on a few car with not so great tune ups.

ok so i did a compression test on all but the back right cylinder on the passenger side and got 178-180 psi on all of them. the spark plugs were kind of nasty i took some pics of them.
im going to chech the valve train next chime in if you got any other ideas

What code popped? do you have a scanner that can scan the o2 sensor in question to see what its doing?
