what did your cars come with that they no longer have?

mine.......
air, egr, hvac, radio, spare and jack, bumper support, anti lock brakes, traction control, cruise control, front sway bar and all brackets, battery tray/coolant overflow, windshield washers......

probably more....

but, it will pass nj inspection and has full interior.

removed- sway bar, the main backseat part(buckets are still there), spare tire and jack, a.i.r., egr, and heavy ass front tires.

Added-10" sub, subframe connectors, LCA relocation brackets, various other suspension parts that are heavier than stock.

All in all, I'd say I'm still down a few lbs from stock.

Everything includes brackets

a/c, front sway, cruise control, carpet (done more cuz of t-top leaks than weight), rear seats and belts, hatch flap, spare and jack, airbags (drivers side is bolted in so there's not a big hole), front bumper support, trans-mounted exhaust hanger, some heat shields... all I can think of right now. Unless hood counts.

i went down to E-town with full street weight, just to see what she was capable of at full weight.
Taken out the spare tire, jack, and 12-disc changer since then.

I'm reading through your posts and it's made me curious, if I remove the AIR/EGR, can I still pass NJ inspection?

if its 97 up and you have cats, yes. you just have to get the computer tuned so that there is no check engine light for the egr/air. you can technically fail for visual, but, that would require the dmv guys to memorize where each and every cars egr/air parts would be

Every little bit helps....car drives fine no worries on my end...lol

According to the guru's on LS1tech...their weight reduction list claims I've removed 450+ from my car....and I'm still not down...might actually run and get my car weighed and give you all an actual number...

hope it's not a street car :-?

Hmm.....my list, as best as I can remember:

A/C
sound deadening
front sway bar
power steering
computer
90% of the wiring
stereo & speakers
rear seats & belts
misc. unused brackets

I'm sure the Dana 44 is heavier than a stock 10 bolt, as are the beefed up LCAs and the BMR CM torque arm.

Stock steel DS replaced with stock LS1 DS. LS1 DS will prolly soon be replaced with aftermarket 3.5" aluminum DS. Aluminum heads over stockers saved quite a bit of weight. 16" crosslace wheels & tires are a bit lighter than the stock 15" steel wheels and tires.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

my trans am was around 3330-3340 with me in the car. the interior i dont care much about since im the only one that will be in the car. and that weight is before the tubular kmember/a arms, fiberglass hood, more weight redux, etc etc

Some serious weight reduction in here. I need to stop being a pansy and start tearing stuff out.
