Anyone ever have a problem with setting SES lights for knock sensors? I haven't checked the exhaust lately so idk if it's hitting anywhere, but ever since I installed a poly trans mount I keeping setting a SES light for a knock sensor. Any pointers on what I should look for besides the exhaust hitting the underside of the car(catted y pipe). I haven't gotten gas at the usual station lately, any chance that bad gas is causing it?

Run a datalog on it... See where your getting the knock from.

My poly trans mount hasnt cuased any knock... My stupid TSP Y banged on the floorboard though.

yea I plan on having a buddy of mine data log it, but this weather is **** to do any real beating on the car. I had one chance to really get on it today and ran through the gears and let off in 4th around 4500rpm and it pulled hard all the way through the pull even with the ses light on.

ok well my friend with hptuners has been dicking around so I decided to reset the pcm because it was suggested on LS1tech. I just took the car for a 25 mile ride and it didn't pop the light, so maybe the sensor just needed to relearn?

That's strange. What was the code being set, it might be saying the knock sensor is going bad or not sending a valid signal vs giving false knock readings. I could see how a poly mount might cause the LT1 knock sensor to pick up more false knock but not the LS1. Is there any chance you pinched some wiring when doing the clutch? I thought the knock sensor wiring came out around the back of the engine.

Well I reset the computer yesterday and it went 25 miles without the code, and then mile 27 came up and the SES light popped back on. The knock sensor code came on about 300 miles after the clutch was done, so I don't think I pinched any wires. The code is for low/insufficient voltage, I'll go and get the code in a few minutes and post up. I've thrown knock sensor codes once or twice in the past so maybe the sensor just finally went.

Edit: Code is a PO327 for low input for knock sensor 1.
