i want to know what is the fastest, loudest and most powerful exhaust on the market for a 1995 Z28 Camaro 350 V8 5.7 Liter and under six hundred dollars?

Um.

Obnoxious loud would be a SLP loudmouth 1.

Nice, mellow: magnaflow, maybe corsa, B&B triflow

Loudish: Borla, hooker.

eh my magnaflow w/ stock manifolds is too quiet

borla sounds nice on the lt1 imo

I would say LM1...

fastest, loudest ?

these two things do not walk in lock step. Noise does not necessarily = power.

And noise = unwanted attention and headaches.

Fastest and loudest would be dumps off the headers. enjoy.

STAY ON TOPIC!

I'd vote Flowmaster American Thunder as probably one the loudest and fairly straight thru mufflers for a lower price.

A cheap alternative if you want loud/quiet, would be a E cutout in the stock exhaust.

If your near south jersey I can put you in contact with a friend of mine who does performance exhaust. I've had him do all my cars. most of the mods/admins will probably remember how sweet my 3.4 sounded with his exhaust. I'm going to have him do this other car I have too.

A pissed off cat in a tin can will be loud, too. Loud does not equal "good".

I like the sound of Corsas myself, but they are not cheap. Hooker cat backs sound good too and are cheaper.

can someone give me an exhaust that sounds really nice, fast as hell but will not piss off the neihbors and parents at 3 o clock in the morning on my way home?

2.5 in flowmaster catback... generic stuff. Like I said I know a guy, PM me for details.

Jegs (or Summit) cat-back system with a magnaflow muffler. Really cheap, nice sound, decent gains.

LM1 isn't that bad on stock manifolds and cats but I never like the sound of the LM1 on LT1's. I personnal think Borla or GMMG sounds the best on LT1's but thats way out of his price range so MagnaFlow gets my vote.

+1 im assuming you have stock manifolds so it would be cheap to get a SLP loud mouth 1 its loud but not obnoxious (remember stock manifolds lol) but when/if you go to Long Tubes i hear it sounds like poop and and its gonna make ur neighbors hate you..

i have LM with stock manifolds on my LS1 and its just fine for now.. but if i upgrade to LTs ill prob do full exhaust.

for this, magnaflow. go on youtube and listen to exhausts though and look at their setup. catbacks don't make you real fast, they just sound it 8-)

im thinking that im going to have to go with magna flow. I would like to get edlebrock headrs, magna flow exhaust, cold air intake and then supercharge it. Mind you this is going to take a long time, till like the end of next summer.

to supercharge it correctly, you need to rebuild the shortblock for lower compression AND buy ALL OF THE SUPPORTING MODS! but thats doing things right

there are better choices than edelbrock headers. also, a heads and cam package will kick ass and be real fun to drive. i would save money and do that personally.

They all make about the same power so you're really looking at cost and sound. My Random Tech catback is pretty mellow at low speeds and cruising but it's a straight through muffler that gets pretty loud at WOT. Do some searching on Ebay and LS1Tech and you might score an almost new system cheap. Stainless would last the longest but is also the most expensive.

but hey, easy on me here im skipping a good 10-15 steps if i just got headers, intake an exhaust i think that i would be very satisfied but i already am satisfied at the moment....

I would not call Magnaflow quiet (OK, maybethe others are more loud yet).

The problem with youtube is that you never know how loud the sound is because people do things differently, with different microphones and at different distances. All you get it the note but not the volume.

This is very true! Hard to get a feel on how loud the car will be through a video camera.

a dopey video of my Flowmaster American Thunder cat-back. It's right at that point of being loud but not loud enough to get pulled over for. Inside the car it's kind of annoying with that flowmaster drone but you can hold a conversation without having to speak louder than normal.

As for it being "fast" my car has trapped 120mph naturally aspirated through it but when spraying it starts to really show it's restriction. 125-126mph is about all the car will do through the exhaust and opening up the cutout gives big gains...

I'm not sure about a LT1, but my LS1 with Magnaflow was too quiet. With LTs it was still too quiet. I got an e-cutout ($100) in the midpipe by the rear axel & love it.

...but sometimes I wish I could make it a tad louder
