What are the best pistons, rings, bearings and crank to go with for this build? Looking for high compression motor. Will see a 100-150 wet shot occasionally. Was recommended a set of trick flow heads 225/235 and a 248/254 cam 615 623 lift 112lsa, comp type r lifters, comp push rods, and 37-42Lb injectors. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

if i was to spend all that money i'd go with a custom grind cam, if that isnt one already
that being said i have no input on the rotating assembly

I dont know what the best is but I would say JE/SRP, Clevite and go forged with everything. Do it once and do it right. I have seen too many people try to save a buck and then have to do it all over and spend even more money than they would have if they did it right the first time.

and get really good rods if you're going high compression with nitrous.

I built my shortblock with a target of 750 HP, I went with a Callies crank and Manley rods, pistons are JEs. I hear all good things about Lunati parts as well.
If you plan to run all out N/A then you might want to go at least 42s, or maybe a bit bigger? 42lbs are good to about 500-525HP based on the Fuel pressure. I'm 385CI, SC'd and running 42lbs, at 480RWHP I'm in the low 80% duty cycles which is about as far as you want to push injectors. More boost is going to require larger injectors. So I'm thinking that a 408 might need a bit more fuel?

Just wanted to add my 2 cents about the fact that no matter how good your parts are, MAKE DAYUM SURE your machine work is on the money! Pampers wearin' Zeke amongst others can attest to the fact that botched up machine work can bring down an engine with 6g in the internal guts just as quickly as it can take out an engine with 100 bux in the internal guts!
