Im selling a 4L80E trans and converter. It was behind a LQ9 motor and is 2wd. It went into all gears before I removed it, but now I have no use for it since I sold my LS1 car. At this point I would just like it gone.

I honestly have no idea, but the truck only had 89,000 and the trans looked cleaner than the engine, so your guess is as good as mine.

Its a fairly easy mod from what I hear. The cross-member, etc are all readily available and not expensive. It is a factory, 6 bolt converter.

I think yank, vigilante, and circle D are the only ones who make converters to for a 4l80e/LS1 combo and they run in the $1k+ range last I checked

Um, LQ9's are LS based motors. Why would the converter be different when putting this behind a 5.7 LS motor? Im actually curious now.

Is this a stock trans? Any idea how hard it is to swap into an AWD silverado?

It is a bone stock trans to my knowledge. Im not sure if the 4l80e 2wd shaft/case is interchangeable with the awd/4wd shaft/case. Usually GM overdrive trannys use a longer shaft for 2wd applications but im not positive.

ls1tech has write-ups in their tranny section.
