from what ive read the fan should come on at 225, mines coming on at a tick above 230 for some reason and stays on until 219, normal? close enough lol?
also the stock gauge in the dash is 30 degrees high from what my handheld says any easy fix for this?

I don't know about the 92 but 93 and up have 2 temp sensors. One for the guage and one for the ECU. They don't always jibe.

the TBI truck/fbody motors have the coolant temp sensor in the manifold (for the guage) and the thermal fan switch in the passenger side head (controls the fan)... atleast thats how i understood it lol

the sender in the driver side head is the one for the cluster, it is probobly a little off. also that sender normally reads higher than what the ecm sees as coolant temp. The sender for the gauge is in between two combustion chambers and will read higher than where the ecm reads the temp in the intake manifold. 225 in normal for the ecm to kick the fan on
