So much so, that some stuff on the car didn't get done. I'm still fabricating the new winch mount. Hopefully it will get finished tomorrow. It's going to be a busy day tomorrow!

Yes, you should set them initially and run pressure in the tires.

1. Set rebound 2 clicks CCW from 50/50.
2. Set compression to max CW to hold shamu up during shifts.
3. Evaluate fail

3. Use shanks, not acorn lug nuts
4. Don't run out of gas
5. Don't shift into reverse instead of 3rd

I finally sprayed my new motor and got a new pb. My best of the day 9.76 @ 141.6 with 1.40 60ft on the rear tires 8-)

It was a great day, big thanks to Brian (BlackbirdWS6) for organizing the event! I know atleast 5 people ran personal bests. Also congrats to Ron for besting his own record!

I have 16 timeslips but I may have made more passes. The time stamps are an hour fast, I made the very first pass of the day at 10:43am.

I think its pretty clear that the DA was slightly better in the morning. My previous best was 10.89 @ 124.24, with the only changes being suspension adjustment! Race weight is 3390 lbs with me in it.

Thanks for everyone who made it out today. It was a great day for most and I'm sure for those who had some trouble, next season will surely be better. I will post vids and times tomorrow. Ran a lot of 11.dohs but got one OK launch which netted me my first 10 sec pass. Lots of room to improve but I had a lot of fun and the car held up well. "Race" weight with me in it was 4095 lol. Congrats to all those new bests. I was happy to see some really quick 6spd cars out there. They look like a lot if fun to drive.

I'm exhausted and headed to bed. Shall we do this again next year? Perhaps a spring rental can be fit in if there is enough interest.

Had a great time today.Wish I could get my car to 60ft. today but still very happy with the many 9.9 passes I had today.The best part about it was I never got that feeling of "man that was a great 60ft and I shifted everything great,that was a great pass"....Lots of room for improvement on my part. Then when I tried to hot lap the car my hydrolics didn't like that at all. I had to pump my pedal to get it into gear. I had a coulple of passes that were scrapped cause it wuldnt go into gear.Overall a great day with a great bunch of people.

Did anyone get video of my 9.93@136 pass? My buddy who was videoing didn't think I was going to hot lap the car and didn't get that pass.

What's up guys.....I'm Jared. The one with the Red Truck/Vette. Great to meet all you guys (even though I didn't really get the chance to talk with many of you.) Just wanna say I had a good time and would definitely do it again. This was my first time out on Drag Radials. My previous PB was a 12.53 @113 on stock factory run flats. Since that pass I have added headers and a tune and with these DR's I ran a new PB of 11.79 @118 on Friday.

Anybody know who the guy was in the grey sweatshirt and baseball cap hanging out in the burnout box taking pics and video? I seen in my videos he was right up on my car and think he was some really good pics from the day and I hope he has the 1 video that I'm missing.

That was me. The link to my pics is posted a few pages back in here and in the multimedia thread "race wars pics". I got a bunch of your car. Unfortunately the vid your missing I wasn't taking video during that run, but there's a pic of you at the traps with that time on the boards. I was taking vids later in the day with Ron's camera(98TAdriver) and did get a few of your car. He might be able to upload them if ya PM him.

Finally the admins accepted my registration. It was a fun time all. I was the help for BarneyMobile (Rob) driving his Subaru with all the extras! Glad to meet a bunch of you, and hopefully i can make it out again!

Keep dropping pressure and raising the rpm they said, it won't spin they said. :)

not sure how much pressure you were running but I had to drop mine down to 10psi for my tires to do anything.The psi will raise back up in the burnout so you gotta account for that.The pics I'm adding are a frame by frame of the launch I was looking for

I loaded them backwards. hit back instead of next . Even on here I gotta do stuff twice,I thought that was only with the car

I had around 14psi towards the end of the day. I will come back next year with a few more tweaks. I have an odd setup with the way the car is weighted and everything else but I'm sure it can be figured out.

I know, I could not launch the car like I wanted.I had to launch low and bog the car out of the hole to get it to do anything.The thing I love is the car was all over the place and still running 9.9's .

Pretty sure a sporadic rule was born less than a year ago that said if you get an infraction, you forfeit your custom user title(s).
