ask matt...he is the only who can give you the whole story...from what i recall he was backing in or out of a friend's drive way and ripped the electric part of the cutout right off...

I can see it now...

"Lets see what ya got here Mr.Trans Am...."
*pops hood*
"Steel braided lines running to intake.....N....O....S? OH **** THIS CARS GOT NAWZ!!"
Failed.

Ian 02-08-2006 11:54 PM

next time just buy some cheap black rubber hose and cover the lines. dont know what to do about the soleniods though :?

BigAls87Z28 02-08-2006 11:57 PM

Werd. Mark it with "CATION:FUEL LINES" and no one will F with it.
Or you can get the tite red wire loom!!

I have only seen them pop the hood on one car, my old 87. But the guy just opened it, looked at the engine and the purdy polished TPI and goes "cool man, cool" and closed the hood?
That should be a lesson to all, make sure under your hood is blingged out.

WayFast84 02-09-2006 02:44 PM

You got it all wrong...when they see the N20 lines be like "its JUST a 150 shot" lol

Firebird67dude 02-09-2006 02:57 PM

I've never seen them open a hood at inspection. Well, not tru. On the 67 the opened the hood to mess with the carb but thats about it. SO wat ur saying is ur (for performance reasons) better off gutting the stock muffler than gutting the cat?

My exhaust set up is: Edelbrock shorties<3in. y pipe< 3in. gutted cat<3 in.(unkown)cat back.

Savage_Messiah 02-09-2006 05:09 PM

!cat and have a free-flowing muffler FTW

WayFast84 02-09-2006 05:11 PM

and !air

Savage_Messiah 02-09-2006 05:14 PM

never had it myself

ar0ck 02-09-2006 06:19 PM

Yeah I was thinking, just polish the living crap out of the engine bay, Im sure they wont even notice the !AIR. So far I figure most DMV people wouldn't even know what to look for.

Savage_Messiah 02-10-2006 03:00 AM

They're not even DMV people, the state inspection people are ran and staffed by people who work for some company called "Parsons."

I've never seen them pop a hood and I've gone... 5 times with my car and twice with my dad's
