Yea thats going to be pretty loud.
Sounds like a pretty good set-up.
I better start on my Z soon before we battle it out!

The headers are non emmision, and I haven't decided what Im going to do with the Y-pipe. Im probably going to end up with a 3" Y-pipe and a single magnaflow cat (OBDI Single Cat Car) since it has to be fabricated anyway.
So it'll be:
LT's -> 3" Y-pipe -> 3" Magnaflow High-Flow Cat -> 3" Cut-Out -> 3" Magnaflow Cat-Back.

not really, it doesnt have to go back through the mufflers still...but it would be more effective before the cat.

the cat is about 10timees the restriction that a muffler is. putting a cut out after the cat is a complete waste of time.

if it is for sound, put it where it will actually make some noise, before the cat.

The cut-out defenitly is not a pecie of junk, I built it myself!
A complete QTEC set up for one 2 1/2 stainless steel cut-out & electric valve is $199.99. These set-ups have been out their for a long time!

Wrong! The muffler is 10 times more restrictive than the cat. I've told you this before Tim. Tests have shown that mufflers are way more restrictive than high flow cats. So removing cats and keeping mufflers doesn't gain much at all except the ability to lean out the mixture to the ragged edge. But for him, I don't understand why he is bothering to keep a cat if he's running non emission's headers. You won't pass the visual inspection without the AIR setup so who cares if there's a cat or not. But true, most people would put the cutout before the cat.

High Flow cats have very little restriction, even when compared to an aftermarket muffler.

It all depends on where you put it. Theirs a chalk line test you can do and you can place it at the least heated spot in the exhaust, that will drastically increase the life of the cut-out. Thats just kind of common knowledge I think, you dont put electronics near extreme heat.
And since when do they pop hoods for inspection?
