im not saying its bad, or that they are crappy drivers, its just that they have the millions to get good. when i raced w/ marco, he never got out of the car, where as i had only 3 practice session he had 6. ive raced w/ sarah fisher, adam petty and what not.

there arent scouts in motorsports like there is for all other sports, so middle class ppl like myself cant get that kind of money to race. a seson in the Skip Barber Formula Dodge series was $27k for the year which was 7 race weekends.

being your a woman it is a lil easier for you, Danica and Sarah both showed there talent and were able to move up w/ money. and were seen by the right ppl.

i was gonna go for the Red Bull driver search, but i was to old at the time, the age cut off was 19 or 20. so unless i come into millions im not gonna be a pro. but the best of luck to you camarodiva. its hard work.

sure, money helps, but you gotta give credit where credit is due.. none of us can even imagine what a 4 second pass feels like, and to be able to drive one of those cars and know that something WILL go wrong at some point and to be ready for it, IMO that deserves a whole lot of credit.

:werd:

If I were to experience a 4 second pass I'd probably die after, knowing NOTHING EVER will come close to that feeling

Demonicbird00 02-11-2007 10:46 PM

but remember its not like she was just placed in a 4sec drag car. she worked her way down to it, just like how we work our way down to 11s,10s,9 etc.

another thing is the age, when your younger you have less fear of things, whereas when you get older your more cautious of things and what can go wrong and what could happen to yourself if it goes wrong, new up comers are balls to the wall most of the time

can a 4.79 outrun the space shuttle?

bubba428 02-12-2007 08:28 AM

i think ahsley is the only hot one...cournty has some big ass teeth and i think brittney looks like a crack head

jims69camaro 02-12-2007 10:02 AM

why are people so sour when someone has money and/or knows someone to get them on the inside of something so that they have the chance to succeed? no one ever gave anything to john force - he worked for everything he has. he didn't have any money when he started out, just the determination to get to the top. so what if his kids get a leg up in racing? more power to them.

and handling a car during a 5 second run is not something most people can handle. as stated, she had to work her way up to the funny cars.

easily. the space shuttle, much like a jet plane, is very slow off the start compared to a wheel driven vehicle.

Demonicbird00 02-12-2007 11:42 PM

im not sour about it, if you understood where i was coming from youd know what i mean, its nothing personal towards those lucky individuals.but those lucky ones also have chip on there shoulder, ive never met ashley but the others have this kinda "im better then you" attitude cause of there last name. whereas the father that started from nothing are most of the time some of the most down to eath ppl and have no problem talking to you for an extended amount of time.

88FormulaChick 02-13-2007 07:57 AM

i would love to do something like that...can you even imagine the G-forces from going that fast? jesus...
