Just like every other job/occupation in the world. It is almost always who you know over what you know. Racing is no different.

only one on that list i woudl argue with is marco andretti. he is extremely talented and willing to drive pretty much anything. he prolly wouldn't have moved up so fast without the name and family backing, but i am sure he would have made an impact and been invited to move up over time.

sure, money helps, but you gotta give credit where credit is due.. none of us can even imagine what a 4 second pass feels like, and to be able to drive one of those cars and know that something WILL go wrong at some point and to be ready for it, IMO that deserves a whole lot of credit. im doing my damndest to work my way up the racing ranks, but honestly i dont know if i would even want to go any further than pro stock if i went that direction.
its interesting to see what other racers are saying about all the force coverage though... seems the ones that are talking abotu ratings are right.. it got all you guys talking. http://drr.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/t...2/m/1321035092
