can you change things like a bigger cam and such?

I was wondering the same thing.

They say no now, but what if Alex Djordjevic or some other automotive collector/big shot shows up and demands to make their own COPO corvette....

I think it is a really cool idea!

If I had the money I'd do it

I think it would be awesome if more automotive manufacturer's did this - obviously only for their performance division cars

SRT - dodge
AMG - Mercedes
M - BMW

etc

I would totally do that. Then just be like "OMG look over there someone just dropped a crankshaft!" and slap in a bigger cam and smaller pully into an LS9

I can understand why you cant though. They still offer the warranty on "their" blue printed motor. Not yours with a bumpier cam, shaved deck, and a smaller SC pulley :)

BigAls87Z28 07-14-2010 11:52 AM

Well...you would first have to get said smaller pulley and cam into the shop...as it wont be there. Its not like they have boxes of better cams sitting next to the stock cam.
They are also dyno tested...so if your engine made an extra 30hp, they would know about it.

I am sure it will be brought up every time someone comes in to do it.

BonzoHansen 07-14-2010 12:15 PM

oh stop the silliness :p they can't do it because of federal emissions rules. the engine would no longer be certified.

Pfff please I got long legs man. Strap that bump stick to my thigh and gooch that pully. If anyone asks I'm just well hung

Not to mention, it would run like poop on the stock tune.
