The air was decent at Atco Raceway today and the car was hooking up for the most part.

previous best 11.02 @ 122.51mph 1.45 60'

todays bests in video/attatchments below

3.90 Rear should be installed tomorrow and then hopefully soon, I'll be posting about some 10.8 slips (faster is always nicer though lol)

Congrats on that slow POS!

WayFast84 11-05-2012 06:26 PM

So jelly, I need the driver mod.

How many passes would you say you have in this car?

98tadriver 11-05-2012 07:30 PM

Thanks again guys :) Just put the 3.90 rear in it tonight. got my part throttle shift points set, but I'll need to go to Atco tomorrow night to tune the WOT points

The DA was within 100' of the night of my previous best. also, I shaved 40lbs between a race battery and exhaust mod, plus the track was hooking better

Bonzo- thanks for the title update! :)

wayfast- Im tempted to spray it but Im going to focus on going as fast as i can as a bolt on car, and then sometime next year, stick a "Brandon cam" or equivalent in it lol

I had 65-70passes from october 2010 to novermber 2010

Didnt make too many passes last year (15-20)

I have 45-50 passes with the car this year since june for a total of 125-140passes since october of 2010. i try to save most of my slips but sometimes i lose them

Soooo, your not running a different cam/lifter change? This is strickly bolt on that got you into the 10"s? What intake you running...ls6? fast?

correct. stock longblock as it came from GM. fast 90mm intake and TB.
Im a full bolt on car with a 3.42 gear, circle D 5C converter and TMR tune. estimated 3100lb RW I dyno'd the car a few months back 362/382 thru a locked converter (usually reads higher that way) peak hp was at 5400 rpm and peak torque at 4500rpm

For all the people who might not know me personally, Its really not that hard to believe lol. If you follow the S.I. List over on LS1tech, you'll see what I'm talking about. when the time comes to do a cam swap, ill be sure to take pics of the stock cam/heads/valvetrain

Nice Ron, i have a '99 sebring silver/t56 myself...nothing crazy done w/it and i know the the capabilites of the ls1's but 10's is a great feat for a car one can pickup now for under 13k stock now.

Thanks!

I had a guy on LS1tech say in a sarcastic manner "Gotta love the internet, where a bolt on LS1 car can trap 122mph ..." Then asked me if I ever heard of Einstein and Newton's laws.. What a jerk lol. He obviously doesnt race or race enough. drag racing is more than just the simple laws of mass*acceleration and all that other jazz

There are a few variables that will make the car faster without adding hp. For instance- A high stall converter will yield waaayy better acceleration results than a stock converter. If i put a stock converter back in my car, I'd be willing to bet that I'll go about 6-7 tenths slower. my 3400 converter helped me to gain 5 tenths and 2mph in the 1/4 mile and the 4200 converter gained easily 2 tenths and 1mph on top of that. also, locking the converter after the 1/8 mile picked up an easy 2mph as well, since that increases the effeciency of the stall converter when its locked and spinning 1:1 with the motor

Fixed.

WayFast84 11-06-2012 01:12 PM

Lmao, That guy on tech was an asshat. Are you going tonight?

ar0ck 11-06-2012 01:30 PM

That car is moving out! Congrats Ron
