MP3 Players?

Dont say IPod, but what are some good MP3 players out there? Nothing super fancy. Anyone have them?

Brando56894 12-10-2005 03:18 AM

never get anything from sonic blue/Rio, the products have great features but are built really crappy, except for the flash players, the one i found seems to be working good. then again i only use the radio (dont have the mini usb cable yet).
i'd go with either creative or ipod

I like the flash memory players as opposed to the hard driver versions. That one is the one I lost and I replaced it with the iriver T10. The 799 is a better player though.

Koll 12-10-2005 07:48 AM

HDD > Flash

I want to get an MP3 Player that I can put all my songs on it. 7919 songs, 531 Hours, 3 minutes, 56 seconds, ~45 gigs

i have the iriver IFP-395T in my opinion iriver makes the best mp3 players... u can get them on ebay for cheap... ive had mine for 3 years now, and its still the best looking mp3 player on the market imo- plus, 512mb or storage is plenty for a workout at the gym... dont really find myself needing more space than that..

Yup

BTW, I would like someone to take an IPOD and throw it around a few times with it on and see what happens. HD's are not mean to have those kinds of forces applied to them. JMHO

qwikz28 12-10-2005 03:27 PM

i told jon (badchevelle) about the creative zen micro. he bought it and he is more then happy with it. a matter-of-fact, i like his a ton better then i like my ipod :(

NLinnear 12-10-2005 03:32 PM

Creative is also a good brand for MP3 players. Some people are boycotting their products because they received a patent for the navigation system of the player.

Brando56894 12-10-2005 07:04 PM

it all depends on what you wanna use it for for day to day use id say get a HDD based one, if you just want it for when your working out or doin some other type of physical activity get a flash based one, they can hold upto a gig i think..

Uh, Im not even as old as you James, and I know that 8 tracks didnt exist back in teh 80's. That a 60's 70's thing.

Tru2Chevy 12-11-2005 08:33 PM

Dell Jukebox is good, now that they have their HDD issue sorted out.
