never get anything from sonic blue/Rio, the products have great features but are built really crappy, except for the flash players, the one i found seems to be working good. then again i only use the radio (dont have the mini usb cable yet).
i'd go with either creative or ipod

I like the flash memory players as opposed to the hard driver versions. That one is the one I lost and I replaced it with the iriver T10. The 799 is a better player though.

i have the iriver IFP-395T in my opinion iriver makes the best mp3 players... u can get them on ebay for cheap... ive had mine for 3 years now, and its still the best looking mp3 player on the market imo- plus, 512mb or storage is plenty for a workout at the gym... dont really find myself needing more space than that..

Yup

BTW, I would like someone to take an IPOD and throw it around a few times with it on and see what happens. HD's are not mean to have those kinds of forces applied to them. JMHO

Creative is also a good brand for MP3 players. Some people are boycotting their products because they received a patent for the navigation system of the player.

it all depends on what you wanna use it for for day to day use id say get a HDD based one, if you just want it for when your working out or doin some other type of physical activity get a flash based one, they can hold upto a gig i think..
