wow that AOL guy was an ass, i remember when we had it my mom was on the phone with them for 4 hours trying to get something fixed cuz it wasnt connecting right. IDK which company is worse AOL or micro****
lol that was boring about 45 seconds into it i switched over to the nws videos lmao
wow. They had no problem shutting my account down when it got hacked and the person mail bombed a ****load of people. AOL blows ... i just have their email address still but im not paying for it.
that same crap happened to me when I cancelled my AOL account like 3 or 4 years ago. the stupid lady on the phone kept trying to sell me stuff and avoid cancelling the account and I had to do the same thing that guy did.
someone hacked my brothers sn awhile ago and they tried to say that he mailbombed like 200ppl. whats funny is at that time he didnt even know how to turn the freakin thing on!
yea, that was years ago that happened. Ive had AOL since dinosaurs roamed the earth. I started on a 14.4k modem ( high speed back then) and sat through the dark ages when all you got was a busy signal.
In retrospec ..... should have cancelled it from the first minute. |
i used it since 3.0 i think up until about 8 or 9 pretty much like 6 month to a year after comcast became popular.
I had AOL from 4.0 until just as 7.0 was coming out. Then I went broadband and never looked back.
PS - That call was pretty funny. It was on Digg.com last week. - Justin |
wow, just wow
they did that **** to me when i canceled and got verizon dsl the guy was saying all kinds of weird **** on the phone to my mom and she just gave it to me and hes like your gonna get all kinds of viruses and what not i was on the phone for a half hour saying shure, ok, yup, and in the end i still said no lol stupid aol j*** a**** lol.
What is up with AOL?? They did **** to me like 3 years ago. I finally got cable connection and I try to can the AOL account because at the time the new version wouldnt let you stay on for more than 20 min while online gaming. I took down all the info that they gave me and then charged me for an extra 3 months and "better" connecting modem. I got on the phone with them, i actually made them put a supervisor on and I threated to take them to court and after about 2 hours of arguing with them, I got my money refunded for almost the whole year, along with the cost of the modem. Got I hate AOL lol
I cant wait to see what happens when my dad tries to cancel to get the verizon fiber optic **** thats comin out
That dude got fired! HA!

If you are just guessing, I'm gonna have to say you are wrong. AOL will go to great lengths to keep you from cancelling your account, because they aren't getting ***** for new subscribers these days. I prolly know at least a dozen people (including myself) that have had experiences like this dealing with AOL. - Justin |
I know all my friends had AOL. Then cancelled it due to college, they had broadband, broadband was getting more available around here. Then AOL tried to be swift about AOL for broadband. What alot of people didnt realize that you had to have broadband from some other ISP, so you had to pay for a broadband ISP and then high speed AOL which was 25 bucks on top of what you are already paying for broadband. It was such a scam when they did that call back to you when you cancel the account. I got my call back like 4 months after my incident and what i mentioned above was said to me. After that I hung up. Such scam artests AOL. I hope they all rot in hell.
