need a vin # for a 96 or 97 camaro ss
 

i had a mishap with my nitros and it blew up my ss air intake and my thrattle body . the throttle body i can replace but the air intake has to be from the dealer the problem is that without a vin # for a ss they wont even talk to me

why would you need a vin# to order a stock replacement part?
jsut get the part# off of it and check out www.gmpartsdirect.com or any of the otehr online warehouses. you will pay less than the dealer will charge this way too :)

if GM is the only ones who carry it, they won't sell a part that's SS-specific without the vin at least

I think RK sport still carries the SS Airbox assembly, also SLP may have one as well.
